RSS Feeds
The best thing about RSS Feeds is once you subscribe to that specific topic or web site you will always be up-to-date. Whenever some form of new information changes or is updated, you'll receive the most current news or information. So as a teacher, I could give my students an assignment to research and subscribe to an RSS Feed about the Solar System, for example. And when new data is collected on that web site about the Solar System, my students will automatically know about it. It is just that simple. RSS Feeds is a way for people (teachers, students, parents, etc.) to stay current on the latest information for a particular topic that interest them without the hassle of surfing the Internet from one site to the next.
